SFってどんどん時代性を取っ払っていくと、寓話に近くなっていくんですよね。星新一さんは、たとえば「100万円」といった具体的な表現を使わずに、「大金」などと書いてるんですよね。「電話のダイヤルを回す」と書いたところを、後から「電話をかける」と書き直したりしているわけです。そういうことをしているうちに小説がだんだん普遍的なお伽話のようなものになっていく。
